My name is Riley Gisseman, I'm a massive Jazz fan. I'm looking to possibly going into either graphic design or journalism in the future, and I love writing about, and expressing my love and knowledge of the Jazz, the NBA, and basketball in general. In 2012-13, when I was 13, I wrote a separate blog called UtahJazzNewsNow on Blogspot.com. It's funny to look back on, but that is when I originally became absolutely enthralled by NBA basketball, and more specifically, the Jazz.
Growing up, I would watch a small amount of the Jazz, but I was never a huge fan until 2010, the year Deron Williams was traded. The rebuild caught my attention, and I was pulled in watching my favorite player, Gordon Hayward. His ability in every aspect of the game, and his knowledge in the heat of the game, or his IQ, is absolutely fascinating. Watching him grow as a player as I, myself, grew as a fan was a really cool experience that I really appreciate, and for that, he'll always be my favorite player, no matter the team. As a fan, I'm fascinated by different plays, statistics, and strategies to win games. Predictive statistics are particularly intriguing. |
